Tailor-made Training
- 23rd January 2001
Wallis Shipping Services is one of the largest and
most respected freight companies in the region. As
well as the firm’s headquarters in Colchester,
it also has offices in Rugby and at clients’
premises.
Wallis has vast experience in shipping
goods around the globe for a number of world-renowned
clients. Wallis is expanding and putting its 20 years’
experience to use in a new venture.
The company is offering tailor-made training
in export and import. Clients will be able to use Wallis
to train staff in the logistics and procedures of moving
vast cargoes around the world. Courses will feature
tuition on how to deal with Customs documentation, Incoterms
and banking issues such as arranging letters of credit.
Wallis has already had great success. Its operations
director, Sue Gregory, recently helped train United
Nations agencies working in the Middle East. Clients
can also pass all their export and import issues over
to Wallis, which will handle all transportation commitments.
This can include organising air, sea and courier services,
handling UK distribution, preparing commercial and transport
documents and managing customs procedures.
As a leading company Wallis has a simple
promise: “We’ll make a world of difference”.
