French Connection for
Colchester Firm - 21st June 2002
Colchester based cargo freight forwarding company,
Wallis Shipping, has used its own ‘French Connections’
to win a deal worth thousands of pounds in Venezuela.
The firm who employs five French employees has benefited
from their native language to secure a contract to
ship water treatment equipment for a French company
to South America. Wallis will handle the contract
from its headquarters on the Severalls Industrial
Park. It will be primarily dealing with the French
firm’s UK subsidiary based in Manchester.
Using its specialist knowledge Wallis will ensure
the equipment is safely shipped across the Atlantic
from various ports in Europe.
Managing Director, Stuart Gregory, said: “We
are very fortunate to have our own French team working
for us. Dominque Linch, who is based in our Colchester
HQ , will be working with Project manager Mireille
Fabre from our Rugby office. It is always a great
advantage in this business to be able to converse
with clients in their own language and it is a great
bonus for us. It once again proves that Wallis Shipping
is a truly international company. ”
Wallis Shipping has vast experience moving a variety
of cargo around the globe ranging from steel bridge
constructions to Mars bars.
