Firm's Bid to Help
Exports - 17th December 2002
Colchester
freight forwarding company Wallis Shipping has just
launched a computer software programme that aims to
revolutionise the export industry.
The system called Exportease
has been designed and written by Wallis's in-house
computer specialists. It speeds up the planning process
and the crucial paperwork needed for shipping cargo
around the globe.
It also prevents the need to continually repeat entering
the same data through the shipping chain and ensures
that more time can be spent on customer care.
Managing director of Wallis Shipping, Stuart Gregory
said: "This is a really exciting project to have
researched and developed. we are proud to have designed
such a piece of software, which is not only good for
us but also for Colchester as a whole and puts the
town at the cutting edge of technology."
Wallis has already installed the system at two of
its clients, Flakt Woods and confectionery manufacturer,
Mars.
