Wallis Shipping recognised some years ago that the
requirement for technology was so great in its maket
place that it needed to establish an entire specialised
IT department if it was to capitalise on a market
whose clients are intensely interested in tracking
the movement of their products. Freight forwarding

This software was deemed so important the DTI made
a £45,000 award for development work, hardly
surprising when the system’s early benefits
offer the ability to handle 50 per cent more business
with no increase in labour and a cut from two hours
