Wallis’ Decade
of Shipping Aid - 30th July 2005
Wallis Shipping is celebrating ten years of providing vital medical aid to the
Third World.
Wallis Shipping was first enlisted
by the International Planned Parenthood Federation
(IPPF) a decade ago to ship medical equipment and
family planning supplies to countries across the
globe. Wallis Shipping put together shipments of
medical kits, including syringes, examination tables,
wheelchairs and refrigerators, which are used to
set up family planning clinics and provide medical
treatment.
Wallis’ responsibility
for the cargo has grown over the years and, due to
their special expertise in organising shipments around
the world for the charity sector, they are now in
charge of receiving the goods, storing them and making
sure they are shipped for IPPF.
Wallis’ Managing Director,
Stuart Gregory said: “The equipment we ship
is essential for providing family planning and disease
prevention in some of the world’s poorest countries.
We are very pleased to still be doing this important
work after ten years, and we hope to continue for
another ten years”.
Wallis has sent medical kits
around the world for IPPF and is a leading International
Freight Forwarding firm in eastern England.
