Wallis makes a toothy transit to Africa

Colchester’s leading shipping and logistics company, Wallis Shipping, has made a crucially important shipment to Africa which will help improve the health to people living in Ghana by providing the entire equipment for 21 new dental surgeries for the Ministry of Health for the African country.
Wallis Shipping, based on Severalls Business Park in Colchester, has secured a unique contract to transport dental equipment including drills, X-Ray equipment and dental chairs on behalf of a Dutch-owned sourcing and procurement company. The vital cargo will travel by air and sea from Rugby and Holland to the port of Tema in Ghana, and will then be distributed to sites across the country.
Wallis is a member of the British International Freight Association and has a well-established reputation for excellence. Stuart Gregory, Managing Director of Wallis Shipping, said: “This is one of the most important shipments we have made and hopefully our role will assist with the training of dental staff helping people in countries like Ghana.
“We have a track history of transporting essential goods to the third world, including condoms, medicines and hospital beds. Helping provide such sought after goods to communities that really need them, is extremely worthwhile and we hope to continue to be a key provider of medical equipment to Africa.”
Established in 1987, Wallis offers ‘traditional’ services including shipping, outsourcing and warehousing but has also launched its own internet solutions company and a division focusing on sourcing products.
